Awakening The Soul Flies As Demand Increases

What began last January as a fledgling school, a vision of Beatriz Orive to awaken the souls of women everywhere, is now soaring with great success.

With two groups going through the 5 module program in Guatemala alone, the Panama group well under way, the Florida guinea pig group with one more module to go and the DC/Maryland circle just completed module 2, word is spreading like new light through the antlers of trees.

Women in New York and Brazil have indicated interest in starting groups to awaken their souls. And as we all know and Beatriz has shown, when the students are ready, their teacher will appear.

As a member of the FGPs (the Florida Guinea Pigs) and as the DC/MD group coordinator, I’ve seen a wide range of spiritual awakenings.

There are the women who make big changes from one workshop to the next, who have shifted their perspective from one of striving and suffering to gratitude and ease, as well as women in whom the changes are more subtle whether it’s how they handle their relationships, jobs, free time, dreams, etc.

In any case you cannot go through this material without transforming in the process, without emerging from the cocoon and seeing the butterfly you are becoming. When you release the need to control, force, or will things to happen, Beatriz teaches, then you can sit back and watch the miracles happen. And they do! Live from Antigua: Greatest Power is Personal Honor

Red gladioli, orange and yellow gerberas, lush green gardens, blue skies and spectacular volcanoes, purple and violet bougainvilleas...all chakra colors were vibrantly present in a privileged space that nature opened for the second module of Awakening the Soul in Antigua, Guatemala last July.

“One can change the world by changing the way people think,” opened Beatriz. Twenty souls seeking inner peace fell into a beautiful and expectant silence that gave Beatriz a pause to start her eloquent, smart and very charismatic magical teachings on energy management and the chakras.

Not one soul present knew what to expect, but as usual with Beatriz, one is hooked on listening to her speak immediately after she begins. Physical therapists, housewives, businesswomen, teachers, interior decorators, psychologists and a lawyer were among the women who formed this diverse group that met together for the next three days.

“Our greatest power is personal honor, we have to honor ourselves, what we feel, what we learn. We have to practice forgiveness, have faith and believe in surrendering ourselves to the Divine. We live in the present, the past is for learning our lessons, the future is a mystery...it does not exist.” Such strong concepts opened a door to ancient learnings, helping us remember our eternal wisdom as souls. We explored many diverse topics, most leading back to the premise that “our thoughts are the currency of the spiritual world, and our management of these lead to immense changes in our environment and our world.” It created a greater awareness of what our role is in dreaming our world into reality!

We laughed and cried, we had lovely guided meditations, but overall we felt in contact with our inner garden, our soul, that beautiful spark that lives within us. The climax came in the Bands of Power Ceremony, held outdoors under the watchful feminine eye of the moon and honored by the presence of Venus.

The last day came too soon, as this magical experience came to an end.

Some will fight the understanding of so many mysteries we didn’t even dream existed. Others will choose to feel first and understand later. Either choice will ensure a group of women will undoubtedly engage in a new way of looking at life, a life filled with light, love, beauty, happiness and inner peace.

Thank you, Beatriz. We will be awaiting your return to your land of the Maya.

Gratitude & Humility: A Letter from Beatriz

Dear Friends and Soul Family:

Just over a year has passed since my spiritual mission began, and the greatest feelings I have are gratitude and humility. In our spiritual quest, both of these feelings are essential and at the core of our being. In this letter, I would like to honor both.

Gratitude is spilling over on a daily basis...for the flower I see beginning to sprout its colors, for the osprey holding its body still amidst the air currents, for the beautiful puppies that teach me so much about unconditional love, for the grandiosity of creation that surfaces in front of me at every moment. Yet now it is even greater! I thank you for the trust many of you have put in me, as you have ventured onto your spiritual paths by joining me in a dream of reaching the soul’s longing.

Uncertain as to what you would encounter, some of you followed because of our friendship, others as eager patients on the road to healing and some because you witnessed a peace, but were unsure of how to reach it yourselves. To all of you, I am deeply grateful!

In allowing me the privilege of being a facilitator to your journey of awakening, you have also given me a priceless gift: my own healing. Many of you have opened your heart and soul, showing me your wounds and fears, and with unequalled resilience, confronting and understanding even the most painful ones. Additionally, each of you has shown me an area deep within me that still needed to be healed. And finally, the beautiful letters from the soul that you have sent to me in gratitude is a gift of unequaled measure. My entire being sings with each letter I have received, thanking me for guiding you to touch that beautiful inner garden where you hold your most precious treasures.

Yet it is me who has to say to each one of you: Thank you for taking me to a place of such abundance and humility. You have lifted me to a sacred space of ethereal bliss that I had never touched before!

Humility increases with each step we take in our spiritual journey. A profound realization that we are so small, so perfect, so Divinely inspired brings tears of joy to my present moment. Each one of you has made me more humble as you take the steps in your mystical journeys, sometimes with a necessary push, but always crossing the doors of your own beauty with courage and love.

You are all amazing teachers to me in my own spiritual quest. May we weave an eternal soul family that supports and nurtures each other, our Mother Earth, and all of its relations.

BRAVO! ATS Launches in Panama City with Great Fanfare

On Tuesday, April 20, 2004 we had the pleasure of attending the first presentation of Beatriz Orive’s Awakening the Soul in Panama.

It all started that morning with Beatriz participating in a television interview on the popular program “Tempranito en la Mañana (Early in the Morning). In a very eloquent, simple and humble manner, Beatriz spoke about her dream to awaken many souls so they can reach their highest potential. The interview was scheduled to last 5 minutes, but the energy was so intense between interviewer and interviewee that it went twice as long.

We were expecting between 30-35 women for the two hour lecture that Beatriz planned to give that afternoon, but little by little, people kept arriving: first 5, then 10, then 20...then more and still more until we had to bring in enough chairs for 80 attendees!

Beatriz sat calmly at the front, speaking in a very simple yet charming way, about the significance of Spiritual Awakening and the well-being it brings once we step into the path of cultivating our souls and bringing out all the beauty, abilities and talents that we have kept dormant inside each one of us.

During this pleasant talk, Beatriz explained the center she founded called, “Awakening the Soul” and described the seminars that she is already teaching in several cities in North, Central and South America---including Panama. Each seminar contains a series of five modules, (each one lasting 2 to 3 days, every 4 months) with a variety of topics such as energy management, the study of the chakras, guided meditations, shedding the past, among others.

Many of us signed up that day and when asked to write about the seminar, I can only say this experience is not easily described, for during the days of module one, I perceived so many and such very different sensations, that words like “profound,” “wonderful” or “excellent” do not capture it.

The simple yet profound way in which Beatriz approached each one of the subjects managed to get all of us perfectly “attuned” to her, thus creating a very pleasant atmosphere that allowed us to interact easily and naturally at all times.

The energy exercises, the guided meditations, and the making of our mandalas were fulfilling experiences that allowed me to “rediscover” treasures and talents that I had somewhat forgotten or had hidden inside of me, as well as identify rubbish that needed to be removed and discarded from my life.

Now I must start practicing what I learned those days, do the “homework” assigned by Beatriz, while counting the weeks until the next module so that I can continue my new spiritual path...for I am just beginning to awaken my soul to a wonderful new way of living.
